About Our Practice
Located in Totowa, NJ and serving the northern New Jersey area, Medical Nutrition of New Jersey specializes in medical nutrition therapy and dietary education. As a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist credentialed with the American Dietetic Association, Perla Nelson, MBA, RDN is committed to building relationships with clients who are looking to improve their health through nutrition counseling. She specializes in weight loss and weight management, dealing with chronic diseases, and sports nutrition. She is also proud to be able to offer her services in Spanish as well as English.

Pearl Nelson, DBA, RDN
Perla Nelson, MBA, RDN is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She earned her Master’s of Business Administration degree from University of Phoenix and her Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Food Sciences from Montclair State University. She also completed her Doctorate in Business Administration. Prior to passing her licensing exam, Perla completed her Dietetic Internship at Priority Nutrition Care in Boston, MA. Perla has extensive knowledge working to address various nutrition-related challenges such as diabetes, digestive disorders, heart disease, kidney disease, weight loss, and weight management.
